Unusual medieval style pair of candle holders in the shape of the mythical winged griffin. They are silver plated brass, and are beautifully detailed. The eagle-headed griffins grasp the raised candle holders in their beak, while its wings are spread, and the tail curled. One of the wax pans is slightly different from the other. Should be from the early 1900s.
