Size Guide

Vintage brass Chinese ritual wine vase called gu, used to offer libations at as alter. The gu traditionally has a short body, a bulbous middle and a flared base. The trumpet-like mouth is always wider than the base. The body of this piece is decorated with arches and floral patterns and has four flanges that continue on the bulb and the base. Should be Taisho or Early Showa Period.
