Old Soul Fireplace Cover I

Vintage folding fireplace screen with gorgeous details. The fan pieces have a beautiful pierced pattern and fold into the cast brass stand. The stand has an angel standing on a globe, holding up the sun, and the base has a gargoyle’s face framed by acanthus leaves. The handle on top has two griffins and can be used to move it around. The screen is identical on the back and front, and the panels can be folded in to store away in winter when the fireplace is in use. Should be from mid-1900s France.
