Vintage Chinese cloisonne box in from the Late Qing period, early 20th century. The exceptional enamel work shows two dragons in imperial yellow on a black base, chasing the Flaming Pearl (of wisdom). The dragons have five claws which indicate high rank or status. All four sides have the same dragon, and the base is an intense turquoise. The box is made in bronze and lined with wood on the inside. There is no loss in the enamel work and it is in perfect condition, making this a rare find.
