Vintage silver plated box with an unusual combination of patterns and influences. It has intricate Mughal floral patterns in relief all over the body, two Montauk or Nippon Daisies on top and legs in the shape of very European acanthus leaves. The hinges are in great condition, and the box opens with a beautifully patterned latch in front. Should be from the mid 1900s, most likely made in India.
