Vintage cylindrical container with really beautiful arabesque patterns deeply hand engraved on its entire body. The container is hand forged in brass and has a domed and rimmed lid. It has Mughal or indo-persian patterns of onion shaped domes, pine trees and chinar leaves under archways, chiseled in a quality that’s no longer possible in today’s times. The box opens and closes smoothly and has a patina commensurate with its age. Should be from India, early to mid 1900s.
