Solid brass cast French restoration style candle stand with a stepped and gadrooned tri-corner base and lion claw feet. The column starts with a flower bud-shaped knop covered with acanthus leaves and is topped with a palmette-covered sconce. The column has a hole running through it so that it can be electrified and used as a lamp base. This is an exact replica of a 19th-century French candlestand.
