Vintage Parsi box with three legs, meant to be a part of a ceremonial 'ses' tray. It would have been used to contain some of the auspicious items like almonds, dates, betal nut or even silver coins. The bird on top is symbolic of the 'fravashis', or guardian spirits. Beautiful repousse foliage all over the box, and on one side there is an armorial shield that is meant to have the name of the family engraved. It is unmarked and can have the name of the new owner. The bottom of the box has a stamp of a horse and the number 8, and “Made in” but the country name is not visible.
