Old Soul Figure XVI

Size Guide

Beautiful vintage brass figure of Bacchus, the Roman god of celebrations, festivity and wine, also the same as the Greek god Dionysus. In one hand he holds a bunch of grapes, and in the other the ancient Greek musical instrument, the lyre. He is wearing a crown of wine leaves and a covering of acanthus leaves on his lower body. There is joy on his face and the details of the sculpture are very fine. There are three pieces of this sculpture, which may have been architectural details on a grand structure. Most likely made in early 1900s Italy. Sold individually.
