The Gulabaz is a long container for rose water with perforations on top from where the gulaab-jal is sprinkled on to guests as a sign of welcoming. Rose water is considered holy because its fragrant and cooling. This gulabaz has beautiful embossed patterns, and has a shield in the middle that can be engraved on. The bird on top is symbolic of the fravashis, or guardian spirits. This gulabaz stands at a slight angle maybe because it has some dents at the bottom, but is still a very beautiful old piece.
