Wooden sculpture of Mother Mary and Child Christ carved in high relief in the medieval stye of "Sedes Sapientiae" or "Throne of Wisdom". Since Christ is seen as wisdom incarnate, the seated Mary, who is holding him is called the throne or seat of wisdom. She is wearing a long pleated dress with a coat gently wrapping the shoulders. A part of the right arm of the Child is missing, and was most likely raised in the proclamation gesture. This style was popular from the 13th century onwards, and although we cannot date this piece, the wood looks extremely old.
