Beautiful Italian Baroque-style monstrance, plated with gold and silver. It is finely ornamented with hand done repousse work depicting motifs such as branches and ears of wheat representing God's provision, spiritual growth, and the harvest of souls.. Two angels hold the crown above the sun. The rays emanating from it symbolize the splendor of Christ. In the center is a clear circular glass case within which the sacred host resides. This glass case is framed by a crown of thorns.

The monstrance stands on a round base decorated with simple, attractive, symmetrical floral reliefs and engravings. The cylindrical shaft has five nodes, a main and secondary, formed by moldings. It is handcrafted by Italian artisans in the early 1900s, and retains all its original parts and is in very good condition.
