This rectangular wooden Kamdhenu panel pair is deeply engraved with the bovine goddess Kamdhenu and a distinct floral vine. Kamdhenu is depicted as a cow with a female head and two horns, and breasts, the wings of a bird, and the tail of a peafowl or a white cow. She is the goddess of plenty and symbolises getting everything one desires. This pair is from Tamil Nadu and are of significant age, possibly early 1900s. May be mounted on the wall, or placed on a console table on the stands.
